News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Queerview television guide for October 16

The Oprah Winfrey Show (syndicated) Check local listings
Today Oprah celebrates women who changed the world, a topic that usually has more than a little bit of relevance for gay men. Her guests include trailblazers like Gloria Steinem and Billie Jean King. Hm, I may save this one on the DVR until those Swingtown DVDs come out.

The rest of the listings after the jump!

Ugly Betty (ABC) 8:00 PM EDT
It may have looked like we saw the last of Gio (Freddy Rodriguez) after the season premiere, but he's back tonight and he's not in a good mood with Betty after her rejection. I have to admit, he probably has a point, by the end of last season's love quadrangle wasn't very flattering to Betty.

Survivor (CBS) 8:00 PM EDT
With one alliance getting strained by one member's hunger and exhaustion and another one in trouble from a bad performance in the Immunity Challenge, could this be a bad turn for the "large onion" alliance?

Grey's Anatomy (ABC) 9:00 PM EDT
Joe the bartender (Steven W. Bailey) returns for tonight's episode, though it doesn't sound like he'll be around for much of a story. On the other hand, the preview ads this week promise plenty of Patrick Dempsey beefiness.

Breaking up is easier with slides

The Sarah Silverman Program (Comedy Central) 10:30 PM EDT
As Sarah decides she needs to dump her old friends for more interesting ones (maybe she'll pick that gay Mongolian couple from last week?), Steve starts to consider that his "pot-tits" might be out of control. After the break, check out a preview of tonight's episode, where Sarah breaks the news to her (soon-to-be former) friends.
