"America's Next Top Model" Recap – Episode 8.4

Tyra Mail! Judges! Only ten will continue!

Jael is really scared about panel. She's afraid she'll break down about her friend. She asks Whitney what she should do and Whitney tells her to do whatever she feels she needs to do. If she wants to tell them, tell them, but if not, don't. Then Whitney prays with her. It's actually kind of touching as Jael sobs in her lap and Whitney rocks her. I'm glad there are a few girls there for her who aren't cold-hearted snakes. Cough*Renee*Cough

Judging Panel! Tyra is wearing another weird pirate outfit complete with head scarf. Her hair looks a little better this week, so I suppose it's progress of some sort, but I don't get this whole look she going for. Is she auditioning for the third installment of Pirates of the Caribbean? The guest judge is Neeko, the one-named makeover guy.

Jael is up first and she's visibly upset. They judges question her and she falls apart. She looks back to the other girls for support and they tell her to go ahead, so she tells the judges about her friend's death. Tyra jumps into sympathetic mode. Jael pulls herself together and they go to her picture. It's great. Nothing like birthday cake, but whatever. She looks wonderful, the judges love it, and she dedicates the picture to her girlfriend. It's all very touching.

Up next is Natasha. Her picture is good, but her eyes are a little squinty. Tyra says her film wasn't great and she needs to relax.

Felicia dances her way to the panel, looking like Ciara Junior. The judges like her moves, but wish she looked more like a model and less like a music video girl. They love her picture, however.
