Brothers & Sisters (4.06) "Zen and the Art of Mole Making" Recap
It's the end of innocence as Sarah’s going back to work, and the kids are going back to school. Well, it's not that innocent as Sarah’s going to be late because she sneaks in a Luc-a-licious booty call before heading in to face Holly, who’s still processing her own financial ruin. Across town, our boys are meeting with Michelle, their surrogate sample, and while Scotty and Michelle reminisce about their wild club days, Kevin stews about the health of their Easy Bake Baby Oven and how Michelle's uterus might have been affected by PART-TAY! in days gone by. Scotty remains unrealistically supportive of Michelle, while Kevin goes all lawyer on her.
The "each one is right" in alternating episodes is getting old. Over at the Walker Manse Boarding House For Hottie French Tourists, a sound is heard in the dead of night, and the intruder is attacked with a Snuggie™ by a handsome Frenchman. Turns out it’s Tommy, who’s here to provide contrast with everyone else’s problems while also assuming the role of chef from Scotty, who’s too busy fuming at Kevin.
After the show ended, I may have watched a movie that started like this. We get one of the crazy Walker family phone montages we have missed of late but, as we'll learn, Tommy hasn’t. The Walkers decide to gather during the day to avoid a Walker dinner disaster, which makes about as much sense as checking out those pesky gas fumes in the garage using a lighter instead of a match. Anyway, Tommy is serenely supportive of everyone, so Nora decides to risk the dinner thing, which Tommy decides will be vegan. I'm thinking this means matches, lighter, fire starting kit and phosphorous. Over at Scotty’s restaurant, we’ve got a major continuity hole because when Michelle comes in and announces her womb is in ‘Like New’ condition and Kevin whips out a phone book worth of contracts, Scotty is angered because it’s the first he’s hearing of it. But last week, Kevin agreed to Michelle only if they did it with all the legal stuff intact so either Scotty has been hitting the sherry or the writers have. Michelle stirs the pot of Scotty discontent and barges out, leaving the boys having the exact same conversation they always have. Submitted by on Mon, 2009-11-02 16:02. |
