One of the worst awards shows ever!

Thanks for all the shirtless stuff, especially Alec Baldwin in the good old days. I love me my NPH, and he did all he could to rescue it, but why don't they just plug in a new In Memoriam, a new opening number with the host, and show last year's tape? Who would know the difference? Thank God I'm a Giants fan and saw a really good game while this mess was on. Just a few random thoughts: '30 rock' is not funny nor is the American 'The Office', though Gervais's version rocked. 'Mad Men' from the '60s is now the best reflection of today's office politics on television. The funniest show is 'United States of Tara,' and I was glad to see Toni Collette and my Horatio Street neighbor Cherry Jones win. Next year, I vote for Jon Hamm hosting in one of Frankie Avalon's old swimsuits. Let's hope NPH can spice up the Oscars if that's his next gig. At least it won't be so predictable.

The Emmy Award was more fun

The Emmy Award was more fun than ever. This year’s host made it more especial. You might see Mitch Fatel on the next Emmys. Mitch Fatel is an up and comer. Mitch Fatel, born Mitch Fertel, is a standup comedian that's been plying his trade for several years, and is beginning to have a real career at it. At one point, after he had graduated from college, worked as an intern on the Howard Stern Show, and before he left, recommended a friend of his, John Melendez, also known as Stuttering John, to replace him. He will debut a new comedy special on Comedy Central on September 18th, and released afterward on DVD titled Mitch Fatel is Magical. Sounds like Mitch Fatel is going places – maybe it would be worth a cash advance to catch his show on tour.
