"Being Human" Season Two: "Stag Party" Mini-Cap

Not quite the animal lust of last season.

This past weekend our favorite show about supernatural roommates, Being Human, kicked off a new season over in the UK. No word yet on an airdate on BBC America, but we’ve got a mini-cap for discussion for those lucky enough to live somewhere that gets BBC Three.

Full disclosure: This blogger may also be trying to to raise Russell Tovey’s profile before we start voting for this year's AfterElton.com Hot 100.

It should go without saying that there are spoilers here, so folks shouldn’t read this if they don’t want to be spoiled. For that same reason, in your comments we ask that you keep spoilers out of the headlines.

On to the show!

Domestic bliss, supernatural style.

After last season’s wrap up which had George (Russell Tovey) killing the vampire leader, our roommates have settled into domestic bliss in their bright pink home. Because what counters being creatures of the night more than bright pink?

Nina (Sinead Keenan), the nurse that’s dating George, has moved in, but George isn’t getting to enjoy his animal side with her. She eventually confides in Annie (Lenora Crichlow) that werewolf George inadvertently scratched her while trying to protect her from the vampire leader. She fears she’s now a werewolf and hasn’t told George. Hmm, too bad that problem hasn't cropped up on The Bachelor where the worst thing anyone catches is a case of the crabs.

Instead, Nina just walks around in long sleeves all the time to hide her scratchmarks. This also tells us that it’s less than 28 days since the end of the last season, since otherwise she’d know for sure. And she used to think waiting for her period after unprotected sex was stressful!

Mitchell has always made a weak vampire fighter.

Mitchell (Aidan Turner) and George are attacked outside a bar by a pair of thrill-seeking vampires back in town to visit family. And who also want to watch the chaos kicked off by the vampire leader's demise Because nothing says family time like a vampire turf war.

Now that she’s mostly solid, Annie gets a job in a pub, although how she handles the employment paperwork, I have no idea. What does she write for previous position? On my back in a coffin?
