Exclusive! We've Got the First Look at John Barrowman on "Desperate Housewives!"

We know all you John Barrowman fans have been very keyed up about the news that one of our all time favorites would be joining the cast of Desperate Housewives for six episodes as the baddie in the Angie (Drea de Matteo) storyline. We're still a ways off from seeing John's first episode, but we're mighty pleased to exclusively present you the very first pictures ABC has released of John as Patrick.

The woman John is with is played by Emma Crawford and if I were her character, I'd be mighty careful about who I let in my house. Something tells me that despite those very pretty flowers, Patarick is up to no good. Anyone have any guesses as to what is going on here?

...let me guess - it's Desperate Housewives; he's the baddie - it probably means that he knows something dark from someone's past, and will either try to blackmail or to kill that person - but it will be so much more fun with JB.

My guess is that the woman is Angie's mum and he is playing nice to her to track her down. I thought he might look like this, to others he looks really nice, good looking and no threat but to the people who do know him, its a complete fake and they know exactly what he is capable of.

It recently occured to me that its been like 8 months since I've seen John on my TV screen. I miss him so much, but I hate Desperate Housewives. I also really love Dougray Scott, and yet I couldn't bring myself to watch the show when he was on for a whole season either. The show is just so boring to me, but I miiiiiisssssss my Barrowman!! Decisions, decisions! I know I'll watch whatever first episode John shows up in, but I make no promises for after. Who knows, maybe the show got better after all these years . I'll have to wait and see.

just do what i do. record DH so you at least have the option of watching it. then when you do watch it, and you will, f-f the scenes he's not in. i do that ALL the time... just did it for the Oscars, in fact. took me about 45 min. to watch that. i do this with pretty much everything i watch these days, except for basketball games... i can't stand commercials! : )

I like that he's using his "real" eye color rather than the blue contacts that he wears as Jack. Also, these pictures seem to put the lie to the "John uses bo-tox" crowd of detractors. Also the hair is a vast improvement over some of the hedgehog shots I've seen lately from the publicity push for the new album.

Actually, John doesn't use coloured contacts for Jack, the only one he has used them for was when he was in the producers but not for Jack. That's all lighting and angles.

To be fair, John was told by the DH folks not to cut or color his hair before they began filming. I admit, it was a little off the wall, but it wasn't entirely his doing.

I think it's a good choice, in order for him to completely differentiate the character both from Jack and from John's UK/media-whore persona.

Thank you very much for these gorgeous photos of the wonder that is John Barrowman!  How will the unsuspecting U.S. (non-Sci-Fi) TV viewing audience respond when they get a load of him? 

DH is not my thing at all but I can't wait for this and will be planted in front of my TV for all of John's episodes; my love for him is that strong.  I'm sure he is going to have a great time and rock it. 

Who knows, maybe next he'll be able to get me to watch Glee.

amazing talents- singing live, that is.  He sang At the Copacabana and I marvel at his musical theatre talent.  Michael Buble does a lot of wiggling and smirking with his much more seductive voice, but John can belt out a tune and win me to a standing ovation any day.  Maybe they could do a duet?   

BTW great avatar!  Are you a 6 or 8?  Turbocharged?  Blown????
