"The Amazing Race: All Stars" Rumored to Include Luke Adams and Mel and Mike White

***Warning*** This post discusses some possible minor spoilers for the next season of The Amazing Race.

RealityBlurred.com is reporting that the next season of CBS' The Amazing Race — which will be an All-Star edition — will feature three gay and bi men from past seasons. Luke Adams (who is gay) and his mother Margie ran in the 14th season of the race where the made it to the final three.

Also reportedly competing in the All-Star race are Mike and Mel White, the father and son duo who were featured in the same season as Luke and his mother. Mel is one of the countries most outspoken gay Christian activists while his son Mike is a well-respected filmmaker who also happens to be bisexual.

In our interview with Mel, he discussed how he wished the show hadn't only been more forthcoming about the fact he was gay, and how Luke also wanted the fact he was gay to be more a part of his storyline. However, the producers of TAR apparently wanted to portray Mel and Mike as father and son, while Luke's deafness was the focus of his portrayal. (It should be noted that TAR has been very gay-friendly and was unlikely trying to closet anyone; the show tends to focus on one particular aspect of each team.)

Both Luke and Margie and Mel and Mike were strong competitors who were fun to watch, and both teams came off well.

And it will be interesting to see how all three men are portrayed this time around.
