GOOL THEATER

Raw

It’s been a good long while since I last saw this series and now that it’s back, I’m reminded of the problem I had with it. While I like Geoff and Pavel as individual characters, I don’t buy them as a couple. They just don't have much chemistry. I’d like to see them in different relationships, especially Geoff, who I find charming as the bad boy chef. In fact, I think Geoff had far more chemistry with Fiona, though I don’t see the show going in that direction since Geoff has been pretty well established as gay.

Damon Gameau is back as bad boy chef on the Irish drama Raw.

Even setting aside the lack of chemistry between the actors, the show doesn’t really treat Geoff and Pavel like a couple. In their scenes together they come off as friends, not long term lovers. And except for the scene where someone else mentioned they were boyfriends, you’d never guess that was their relationship.

This episode was clearly the set up for the season though, and maybe things will improve and Geoff and Pavel will begin to act like people in a long term relationship would.

*THANKS TO TUBEDOUTAGAIN FOR THE CLIPS!
