Gays of our Lives (January 26, 2010)

Welcome to a new edition of Gays of Our Lives. You don’t want to miss the clips from last week’s episodes that I’ve got in GOOL THEATER, as they are the stuff that good soaps are made of. Meanwhile, As the World Turns introduces snarky Dr. Reid Oliver and a new story arc for Luke and Noah. Does it have potential or is it dead on arrival?

Also, find out if the second episode of RAW is any better than the first and see what happens when Lucas asks Marco what he wants from him on the German version of Good Times, Bad Times.

How was Dr. Reid Oliver’s debut last week?

In GOOL SCOOPS AND SPOILERS, Kyle and Oliver discover their lives are getting much more complicated by the baby drama on OLTL and Luke learns just how evil his bio-dad Damian can be on As the World Turns.

Doctors finds Simon with his life at risk when he is held hostage by a gun-toting psychopath, and Christian faces Syed when he returns home from his honeymoon on EastEnders.

And in GOOL NEWSBEAT, we’ve got a whole bunch of OLTL news for you, starting with word on the future of the show from ABC Daytime President Brian Frons, and OLTL stars Scott Evans and Brett Claywell talk about their strangest fan encounters. And if you want know what’s going to happen with Kyle, Oliver and Oliver’s baby in February, be sure to check our special spoiler report covering the sweeps excitement in Llanview.

And we have the latest big casting news at Brothers & Sisters.

All this – and more!

Editor's note: We'll be posting the Scott Evans interview a little later on Tuesday.

GOOL THEATER

Good Times, Bad Times (Dutch)

I think this might be the most satisfying set of episodes from this series since the Lucas storyline began last year. And yet, I still had a major problem. But let’s look at the positive stuff first.

I really enjoyed Noud and Lucas’ visit to the therapist, which showed the depth of friendship between these two characters. Noud is really, truly there for Lucas and you can’t blame Lucas for falling for him. But if the show isn’t going to "go there" with these two, I hope the unrequited thing doesn’t continue for an extended period of time.
