News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Gays of our Lives (June 23, 2009)

Kings – I wish I could have enjoyed this episode more, but it was thick with all the things that I find annoying about the show: the ponderous dialogue, omens and signs as plot devices, and giving far too much screen time to Michelle and David’s boring and chemistry-free relationship.

Even more ridiculous is the real reason why they can’t be together. I won’t bother going into the silly details, but it is utter nonsense. Instead of wasting so much time on David and Michelle, it would have been nice if this episode had focused more on Jack’s relationship with his boyfriend.

We finally got to see a bit of it, but not nearly enough. We’re meant to believe Jack loves this guy and is hurt terribly by not being with him … but as we’re not seeing any of the relationship on screen, it’s hard to buy.

Kings finally gave us a brief glimpse into Jack’s private life… very brief

The Young and the Restless Now that it has been discovered that the casket supposedly containing the body of Phillip Chancellor III is empty, everyone suspects Cane isn’t who he claims to be.
