All That Matters

I think the show did a great job with the skating sequences. They were shot well enough that you’d could actually believe the characters were doing all of those technical moves. Kudos for that. But I still don’t believe for a minute that Roman could put together an award winning routine in a matter of hours, and it makes all the drama that built up to that moment seem somewhat ridiculous.

I’m also so not a fan of the Ingo and Annette pairing. I don’t know how popular they are in Germany, but I’m not getting their appeal. The actors have no chemistry at all … and the character of Ingo in particular, isn’t all that likable.

I can’t even the enjoy the twist of Deniz being arrested for Bulle’s murder since it’s utterly implausible that he could be more than questioned, much less held for murder based on the flimsy evidence the police have. I don’t have to have seen nearly every episode of Law & Order to have known that.

Física O Química

I’m glad the season ended how it did for the boys. It’s been nice watching the evolution of Fer and David’s relationship, going from flirtation to rather intense feelings, some incredibly steamy moments, a denial of those feelings and now an open and honest relationship. It’ll be interesting to see where it goes next season (and the rumors about where their relationship is headed next season sound intriguing).

After all he’s been through, Fer deserved a little happiness. Not only that, they are an appealing pair and certainly have chemistry. And, boy, do they like to kiss! Besides, how can you not appreciate a fella who would rip his shirt off to put out a fire? That David is an adorable one, I must say!

All well that ends well… until next season, that is!

The Young and The Restless

Well, unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that this past week was a big one on Y&R. Not only was there the recast of Adam (Chris Engen being replaced by Michael Muhney) there was the big ‘romantic’ moment between Adam and gay lawyer Rafe. I confess I always found Engen to be spotty in his performance as Adam. Some days he was great and others he was visibly not into the role.

So given that and all the backstage stuff I wasn’t sorry to see the actor go. It can’t be easy to be thrown in feet first in a huge role, but Muhney acquitted himself rather quickly and quite well, skillfully handling some very meaty scenes. If there’s a problem, it’s that Muhney looks older than the more youthful appearing Engen, which was apparent in his scenes with Rafe. Gellman looked like a teenager in their scenes together, rather than contemporaries.
