GOOL THEATER

All That Matters

Ugh. I’m not feeling this skating drama right now, mostly because Katja bores me to tears. And since she shares so many scenes with Roman, it’s just agonizing to watch. The only interesting thing in that storyline was the bitchy scheming mother, but then they had to go and give her cancer. Why couldn’t she just stay evil and manipulative? She was the only fun in this mess.

But I am loving the Marian/Axel/Jenny drama. I laughed out loud at Jenny’s over the top tirade swearing to destroy Axel, and I don’t mean that as an insult. It is so soapy and so melodramatic. I miss those Dynasty-esque moments in soaps.

I hear that the woman who plays Jenny is leaving the show and that is a stab to my soap loving heart. ATM won’t be as fun without this particular diva, not to mention losing the wonderful Jenny/Marian pairing.

I just shook my head at Roman’s ridiculous attempts to integrate Marc into his circle of friends. Deniz wasn’t just some guy they knew. He was an important part of all their lives. Still is. Roman expecting his friends to be as flighty and thoughtless about Deniz’s feelings as he is only shows that this character is, in my opinion, becoming increasingly flighty and unlikeable. Should his have pals have been so rude to Marc? Maybe not, but you certainly get why they would be.

Speaking of which, I am truly sorry to have to say goodbye to Marc. The actor was very talented and the character was surprisingly likable, even if he came solely to break up Roman and Deniz. In other points, Florian continues to be charming and sweet, and he and Deniz have great chemistry. Too bad Florian is straight, what a delicious triangle that would be.
