PICK OF THE WEEKAll That Matters

While at times ATM’s storytelling style can be questionable (the lame Bulle murder mystery comes to mind) and has some of the most annoying and unappealing characters as leads (I’m talking to you Stella and Lars), when this show is on, it’s seriously on. And this week, it was definitely on…..

I enjoyed all the story beats on display this week, starting with the downfall of Jenny. I love a good villainess, but there are times when they need to be brought down a peg or two in order to give the character some growth and maturity. You never want a bad girl to lose her edge, but you do want her to have some shading otherwise she becomes one note. And that’s exactly what Jenny was in danger of becoming.

One other thing I’m hoping this character realizes is that if she’s going to be wicked, then her battles should be worth her time. Frankly, Lars is no prize; heck, he’s not even a good trinket.

Finally, I’m not sure how I feel about the potential pairing of Jenny and Marian. But it’s unusual to say the least.

Roman and Axel’s scenes were funny and dramatic…
with an undercurrent of sexual intrigue…
