QUESTION OF THE WEEK

GOOL THEATER – It’s another big week in GOOL Theater and I’ve got plenty of clips for you featuring gay characters from all over the world. As always, I share my thoughts. Please don’t hesitate to share yours at the end of the column.

Be aware there are NSFW words here and there!

PICK OF THE WEEK – Física o Química

I have missed this fresh and funny Spanish teen soap and I’m so glad its back. And I’m loving how Fer and David handle their new relationship and all the sexual dynamics that come with it.

When I first watched this, my reaction was wouldn’t they have discussed monogamy and whether it would be part of their relationship? But then I realized how many adult couples don’t talk about the issue until forced to confront it. So why would a couple of horny teenage boys?

I also got a kick out of David’s eagerness to explore his sexuality and how he thinks he can do that and still have a relationship with the more experienced Fer.

David: You’re not serious about this fidelity thing, are you?

It’s realistic and I think FOQ handled it with such humor and sexual frankness that it was a pure delight. Fer’s backfired attempt to teach his boyfriend a lesson got a chuckle out of me. But I see heartache on the horizon astThere is no way that David is going to be able to control his raging libido.

I just wish there had been sex around every corner in the high school that I went to. Living in small town Illinois would have been a lot more fun.
