Gays of our Lives (October 06, 2009)Welcome to another edition of Gays of Our Lives. We’ve got GOOL THEATER to get us started and in our continuing effort to bring you new and fresh soaps and dramas featuring gay characters, we debut The Ran Quadruplet, which hails from Israel. It’s the story of a family of quads, one of whom is bisexual. It’s an interesting little drama and we hope you like it. Meanwhile, we’ve also got Oliver making a move to win Kyle’s heart on One Life to Live and Mason making some moves of his own (sort of) on Noah on As the World Turns. And you don’t want to miss what Lucas is up to in the Dutch version of Good Times, Bad Times. It has to be seen to be believed. In GOOL SCOOPS AND SPOILERS, As the World Turns’ Luke Snyder is shocked when his father Holden comes back from the dead. But should he be? After all, he’s done it twice before! And where is Noah? Well, perhaps that’s another bone of contention for Luke and Noah to squabble about. Elsewhere, Ugly Betty returns for a new season and poor Justin has a problem that only one person can help him out of. Plus, I’ve got the latest spoilers on both the Dutch and German versions of Good Times, Bad Times. And GOOL NEWSBEAT has lots in store for you, including some exclusive quotes from an upcoming interview with One Life to Live’s Brett Claywell (Kyle). And speaking of OLTL, we’ve got a special report on the cancelation rumors swirling around the soap. Also, meet the real life husband of All That Matters star Dennis Grabosch, find out who the U.K.’s sexiest soap star is and hear what As the World Turns’ actor Van Hansis (Luke) thinks about his handsome co-star Jake Silbermann. All this – and more!
TABLE
OF CONTENTS GOOL THEATER – Lots of clips this week so let’s get started. As always, I share my thoughts. Please don’t hesitate to share yours at the end of the column. Be aware there are NSFW words here and there! The Ran Quadruplet This is an interesting little series from Israel about a family of quadruplets, one of whom is bisexual. Unfortunately, he also happens to be married….
Will Etyan be able to
give up his lover? I’m wondering if Etyan’s reason for wanting to go to therapy is that he wants to come out and therapy is a way of getting his wife to accept it? I also found the final scene with the boyfriend intriguing, given Etyan’s lover’s insistence that he can never be happy in the marriage and that it would eventually kill him. Was he being melodramatic or was he letting the viewer in on something we haven’t been privy to yet? Perhaps it was foreshadowing. Either way, it’s going to be interesting to watch it play out and see how these people deal with the situation. Submitted by on Tue, 2009-10-06 06:55. |
