Gays of our Lives (November 24, 2008)

Spike is there deejaying and he catches Ravi’s appreciative eye, annoying Russ.

Ravi: John Paul slept with Spike, Craig Dean and the priest in a year’s time? And here I was thinking Spike was too skinny.

But the gay action takes a hike when Ravi announces that he’s in love with Nancy and wants her back. Russ is adamantly against it, insisting that Ravi stay away from Nancy until he figures out whether he wants guys or girls.

EastEnders – Christian is shattered when Roxy tells him she’s getting back together with her husband Sean and doesn’t need him to play daddy to her baby anymore. As if that weren’t bad enough, Christian’s homophobic mother is making her visit a permanent one. She disapproves of her son’s lifestyle, even to the point of interfering with his date with Sebastian. But Christian’s problems with Roxy aren’t quite finished, especially after it’s revealed that Sean isn’t the father of the baby after all.

Coronation Street – Sean (Antony Cotton, pictured below) is back, though he still doesn’t have much of a story. After a year in Africa, transsexual Hayley Cropper has returned to her husband Roy. But she tells Sean that she met another man in Africa and is thinking about ending her marriage. She asks Sean for relationship advice — not an especially good idea since his last boyfriend dumped him after Sean kissed a guy who turned out to be straight. What will he tell her to do?

Física o Química – Problems arise at the school when parents start complaining about the play the school is putting on. Why the complaints? Because it has gay content, of course! Fer continues to become entangled in Gorka’s problems, this time advising him how to win back his girlfriend. Fer suggests that time honored ploy: pretend you’re gay so your girlfriend will blame herself and come back to you (because that always works out so well). As you would expect, the plan doesn’t exactly go as planned and somehow leads to this …
