Gays of our Lives (December 1, 2008)Has award season started already? The answer is yes according to SoapHunks.net, which has been passing out awards to the sexiest male soap stars for the past ten years.
Jake Silbermann Jake Silbermann (Noah) has been nominated in the Most Shamefully Clothed category (he’s been on the show for well over a year now and has had his shirt off a total of 3 measly times!) and Van Hansis (Luke) is one of the nominees for Best Butt. As The World Turns was also nominated for Hunkiest Soap, thanks mostly to the charms of Dylan Bruce (ex-Chris Hughes, below), who received nods for Best Chest, Best Abs, Best Arms and Best Face.
Chef Marco (Allan Louis) of Privileged is finally going to get to do some cooking outside the kitchen. David Monahan has been cast as Marco’s hair stylist boyfriend. (A hair stylist and a chef? Nope, no stereotypes there!) Monahan has not only played gay before (in indie films such as The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green [2005]), he also had a part in television history when he played Jack McPhee’s boyfriend Tobey on Dawson’s Creek. You see, it was he and Kerr Smith (Jack) who brought us nighttime television’s first gay male kiss.
