Gays of our Lives (December 1, 2008)Even though EastEnders’ Roxy (Rita Simons) didn’t want Christian (John Partridge) to help raise her baby, fans of the BBC soap think the dashing gay would make a great daddy. A recent viewer’s poll asking that question had fans voting 2 to 1 in Christian’s favor.
EastEnders' Christian (John Partridge) Quick Hits – Lipstick Jungle, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, and Pushing Daisies have all been cancelled and will end after finishing their initial 13 episodes … Privileged has been renewed for the rest of the season … the ratings for the return of Clara Sheller after a three year absence placed it a disappointing third in its time slot … Rescue Me, which features bi firefighter Probie, returns in March 2009. QUIPS AND QUOTES
Guy Burnet "Basically, Craig comes over [from Ireland] and the only explanation that John Paul's not there is that he's in Dublin doing a lot of DJ gigs. The trip was just for me to go away for a bit with my sister. Craig and John Paul are going through a little bit of a rough patch, but nothing serious. It's just a genuine relationship with the ups and downs." Guy Burnet (Craig, Hollyoaks Later) on why Jean Paul doesn’t join Craig in Scotland.
Argiris Karras “He [Riley] doesn’t believe he’s gay. He’s fighting the fact he might be interested in men. He’s not happy with who he is. He’s struggling with the truth. Rather than struggling against society, which is what happened with Marco, he is struggling with himself. It’s a different take on the story … which I like.” Argiris Karras (Riley, Degrassi: The Next Generation) on his character’s inability to deal with his sexuality.
Bryan Batt
“Many people who were gay got married. That was all society
allowed. I don’t think that has been explored on television. And the sad thing
is it continues today.” Openly gay
actor Bryan Batt (Sal, Mad Men) on
why he suggested to producers that his character marry between seasons 1 and 2.
