In GOOL THEATER, it’s Thanksgiving in Llanview and Oakdale, and we’ve got some great clips as As The World Turns’ Luke and Noah and One Life To Live’s Kyle and Oliver celebrate the holidays. In European soaps there’s a shocking secret revealed on the Dutch version of Good Ties, Bad Times and Roman and Deniz realize All That Matters as they deal with a tragic death.

In GOOL SCOOPS AND SPOILERS, Noah’s anger over his blindness rages out of control, and Luke struggles to find a way to help his boyfriend on As The World Turns. On One Life To Live, Nick Chavez is back, kicking off a new story arc for Kyle, Nick and Oliver. Will Nick's return interfere with Kyle and Oliver’s chance at a real first date? Good Times, Bad Times (Dutch)

The revelation that Dex was molested as a teenager is not that much of a surprise – it had to be either that or his being gay that was at the root of his homophobia. Still, it’s a surprise the show went in that direction as it’s not a topic soaps often address, at least in this country. While I liked that the show gave us something different for a change, I felt the reveal of the molestation was somewhat sudden. On the other hand, the acting was wonderful with Emeil Sandtke giving off a mix of anger, shame and hatred that was visceral.

The reveal of Dex’s secret was an interesting twist to the story…

It’s going to be interesting to see if Dex can come to terms with his past, if he can repair his relationship with Nina and how things will progress with Lucas. It’s pretty clear, at least to me, that Dex is now out of the Lucas romantic sweepstakes, which makes you wonder if there’s another fella out there for Lucas. The only other guy in his orbit is the decidedly straight, but totally hot Noud. Hmm….
