News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Gays of our Lives (December 9, 2008)

Later this month, Noah (Jake Silbermann) is reunited with his ex-girlfriend Maddie (played by newcomer Kelly Barrett; see the news section for details). When she needs a shoulder to cry on, good guy Noah is there to offer his and it looks like the former couple just might be ringing in the New Year together. Hmm … Meanwhile, Luke’s drinking is causing him to grow sicker and sicker. What will he do when only Brian is there to ‘help’?

A KISS BEFORE DYING?: The students’ school play leads to tragedy
in the season finale of the Spanish teen drama,
Física o Química

Física o Química – Fer finds a little romance … but there’s a price to be paid for it. The kids throw a party after the success of the play and Fer hooks up with Carlos (a guy he made out with earlier in the season) and the two have sex in the shower! Because of that distraction, Fer neglects to do a favor for Julio, who is left angry at his friend. Meanwhile, now that Ruth and Gorka are back together, she wants Gorka and Cabano to be friends again (is she kidding!), something neither boy is interested in. And as the season comes to a close, all this drama leads to a shocking act of violence and a tragic death.

Brothers & Sisters - Thanks to Saul (Ron Rifkin), Tommy is able to secretly buy up enough shares to oust Holly from the family business. But will the blonde diva go quietly? Let’s hope not!

Kitty: Have you heard the rumors? The show is going to kill off Robert and I’ll have a new man within a month. Can you believe it?
Kevin:
Sounds like win-win to me.

Plus, are our (okay, my) dreams about to come true? Will Kevin (Matthew Rhys) be looking for a new job early next year? We previously reported that a member of the Walker family just might die in a special two-hour episode of the show come March. The latest dish is that the family member is in fact Robert (Rob Lowe), who is going to suffer a life-threatening heart attack. And now there are rumors that the show is casting a love interest for Calista Flockhart’s Kitty to debut in April. Widowed in March and a new love in April? Fingers crossed that Robert is about to go to the Senate in the sky!

Why do I have so much trouble meeting guys?
Haven’t they seen me shirtless?

GreekIs Calvin (Paul James, pictured above) actually going to get a love life when the show returns in March? Just maybe! He reportedly meets a gym jock named Jesse who seems to be putting the moves on him. Then they make a date for a football game and what goes down during their ‘date’ makes Calvin wonder if Jesse is on his side of the fence or not.

EastEnders’ John Partridge

Eastenders- Hasn’t Christian (John Partridge) learned enough about being involved in Roxy’s (Rita Simons) messes? Just like Ethel with Lucy, the answer is apparently nope. Even though he’s still hurt that Roxy went back to her husband and didn’t need his help raising her daughter, he just can’t say no to her when she beckons. Case in point: when Roxy turns to Christian for help after Jack demands she get a paternity test for the baby, he stands by her side. The problem is getting the test done without Sean finding out. And his attempt to help her is going to lead to a major disaster…
