Gays of our Lives (December 15, 2008)To Brothers & Sisters's credit, the show didn’t ignore Scotty and let us see how he felt about this news. His reaction told us that Kevin’s life ᰬ and his — will never be the same. And he wasn’t exactly happy about it either. B&S really, truly treats this relationship just like any other, and they do it in a way that it should be done … by making it no big deal at all.
And could Bob (Tuc Watkins) and Lee (Kevin Rahm) stop being those bitchy neighbors from next door? Their act is so tired. Who whispers about someone sitting two feet away from them during a dinner? Behavior such as this makes the characters buffoons and not real people. On the plus side, the show’s myriad and far flung plots finally seem to be coming together in one cohesive series. I’m actually enjoying the characters I used to love and finding the story interesting … but it shouldn’t have taken half the season to get to this point.
Lee: It’s my obligatory gay bitchy scene of month
On the other hand, Luke’s scenes with Brian are fresh, intriguing and interesting to watch, rich with emotion and desire. Brian is becoming enamored, perhaps obsessed with Luke ,and Laurence Lau (Brian) is doing a good job as a man who is tightly wrapped but starting to lose control. Luke and Brian’s twisted ‘relationship’ has become the most interesting thing about this story arc. But shouldn’t I be rooting for Luke and Noah to get back together? Of course I should. Perhaps the writers could give me more to work with.
Luke and Noah’s scenes had a familiar ring to them

Bernadette Peters guests on Ugly
Betty in early January.
Ugly Betty - Betty’s life as a
single woman living on her own comes to an end after Ignacio (Tony Plana) suffers a heart attack. It won’t be
life threatening, but Betty (America Ferrera) has to move back home. On the
work front, Betty is going to go after a promotion that she can get via an editor-in chief program which happens to be headed by a diva magazine editor played by Broadway icon Bernadette
Peters. It might sound easy, but not when her competition is Marc (Michael
Urie). Submitted by on Sun, 2008-12-14 22:12. |

Desperate Housewives – Even though
the gays on this show are getting more face time lately, to be perfectly frank,
I’m not grateful because of the way
they are being used. It’s nice that Andrew (Shawn Pyfrom) has a love life, but
it would have been nicer if we had seen some of it actually unfold. But Andrew’s relationship
with Alex (Todd Grinnell) only exists to show how it affects the other
characters and stories, so it’s really not about him.
As The World Turns – Last week’s scenes Luke (Van
Hansis) and Noah (Jake Silbermann) went as they have for the past
month: Noah shows up at a Snyder family event and at some point makes some bitchy remark about Luke’s boozing. Luke gets in some zinger
about Noah’s psycho dad or being a ex-closet case. They’ll bicker about
Brian (Laurence Lau), Luke will get on his knees to beg Noah to take him back
in that impassioned, desperate way that only Luke can, but Noah will frostily say
no and take off. Rinse, wash, repeat. Yawn!
