"The Amazing Race" (15.5) recap: "I'm Like Ricky Bobby"
After last week's disappointment with Zev and Justin, we needed something to brighten our spirits, and we got it with this week's elimination.
We start off with Sam and Dan getting a headstart, although we're still not told whether they received the first place prize from last week (they were in second place, but because Zev and Justin were disqualified, they moved into first). Come to think of it, most of the prizes this season seem to be trips to Jamaica, and as gay men, they might want to see what's behind door number two.
The first clue instructs them to "fly to the Persian Gulf and find the world’s tallest building". Bless their hearts ... I love these two guys, but when they ran up to the ticket counter and asked for "two tickets to the Persian Gulf", like it was a city, or the Persian Gulf/Shell Station, I had to laugh.
When the ticket agent basically says "what the hell are you talking about?", Dan finally realizes their mistake, and draws a rectangular shape in the air with his fingers and says "I think the Persian Gulf is an area". Bingo!
Luckily, Brian and Ericka arrive to help the guys out. Brian has decided that the key to winning the race is to build up good Karma, and so he decides to help out the other teams as often as he can.
Ericka loves it when Brian helps the other teams
