"The Amazing Race" (15.7) recap: "This Is Not My Finest Hour"

Did I say last week's episode was the most entertaining of the season?

My mistake. This week's episode had it all ... a coming-out, hot guys just in long johns, and a dramatic finish.

We begin with all the teams instructed to leave Dubai for Amsterdam. Unfortunately for Meghan and Cheyne, their days of headstarts are over, as the only flight leaving for Amsterdam affords everyone the opportunity to congregate at the airport.

Now that everyone is together, Sam and Dan decide it's the right time to come out to everyone, and the big reveal scene is funny, sweet, and good-natured (although I would have been interested to see the reactions of Mika and Canaan).

In Amsterdam the teams have to find the city of Groningen and find Martinitoren, the highest building in the city. Brian and Ericka (my 2nd favorite team) have a bit of trouble getting out of the garage when Brian can't figure out out how to get the Mercedes out of park (it would be the beginning of a very bad day for the pair).

The Martinitoren is a bell tower, and the first challenge is to climb the tower and count every bell. When they show the correct number to the organ player inside, they can have their next clue.

Sam and Meghan team up, and after they count the bells (anyone notice this is the second week in a row the guys need help with math?) and prepare to leave the tower, Sam tells Tiffany the right number on his way out, giving the poker players a huge helping hand. When Cheyne questions his strategy, Sam says "I don't know, I got nervous".
