"Brothers & Sisters" Episode 208 Recap: “Something New”
Kevin goes to check his messages but, big surprise, there aren’t any. Damn that spotty Malaysian telephone service! Kevin asks Scotty if he’d like to be his date for Kitty’s wedding. At first Scotty is hesitant.
Scotty: How appealing. The spite invite?
Catering. This gets Scotty’s attention. Quelle suprise.
Kevin: They’re serving those little gorgonzola and potato pizzas
with saffron and sage. Cut to the next morning where Kitty show’s up on Holly’s doorstep to ask Rebecca if she wants to be one of her bridesmaids. Doesn’t Kitty have any actual female friends she can ask? I don’t think we’ve ever seen or heard of any.
Rebecca is very surprised about the bridesmaid request as she wasn’t even sure she was invited to the wedding.
Kitty: Of course you’re invited to the wedding. You’re my sister. Rebecca agrees and the two hug awkwardly. Cut to Walker Produce where Saul and Sarah are meeting with an outside consultant. Oh hey, it’s Steven Webber. Formerly of Wings and more recently of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and any number of low budget Stephen King TV adaptations. They guy sure has made some crap, hasn’t he? And he always seems to play the same character — a slick, ethically questionable cad. Anyway, that appears to be the character he's playing here.
Saul: Graham has quite a reputation for growing mid-sized companies. Because it’s not the size of the company — it’s what you do with it. Sarah is skeptical. She doesn’t think Walker Produce can afford an outside consultant. Graham offers her some free advice. Forget about the organic food craze — Walker Foods missed the boat on that one. Instead, the company should concentrate on the Chinese market. Does she have any idea how many oranges she could sell if she just gets General Tso to include Walker produce in his secret recipe? The meeting is inconclusive. Sarah puts off Graham by telling him to get her some documentation about the Asian markets and she’ll consider it. Submitted by on Tue, 2007-11-27 22:35. |
