"Brothers & Sisters" Episode 208 Recap: “Something New”Cut to the Walker mansion. Nora is on the phone with Saul telling him about her first love, Stan Harris, and how she looked him up online.
Nora: He’s a history teacher at Kenyon High. He’s single. In what has to be the most outlandish conversational segue of the episode, Saul mistakes Nora’s ramblings as a reference to his sexuality. Paranoid much? Saul: What are you doing, Nora? I told you that I didn’t want to talk about this. That I needed time to talk about this, and you want me to get in touch with that guy that I told you about. Is that it? Nora protests that she wasn’t trying to allude to Saul’s sexual orientation, but he won’t listen to her. Nora: Don’t get me wrong. I do think we have to talk about this. I mean you can’t tell me that you were in love with a man once and then we never discuss it again. We have to talk about it eventually. Just not this episode, apparently. Saul hangs up on Nora. Cut to Kitty and McAllister’s first dance lesson. The instructors demonstrate some very fancy tango moves. What, are they trying to prepare Kitty and McAllister for Dancing with the Stars? It’s a wedding reception for goodness sake.
McAllister claps after the tango demonstration but then tells the male instructor that those moves are a little elaborate for what they had in mind for their wedding dance. Instructor: Don’t worry about it Senator, we’ll adjust the steps to your song. What song? McAllister and Kitty don’t have one. They begin the lesson in earnest, and it becomes immediately apparent that McAllister already knows how to ballroom dance and that Kitty has two left feet. McAllister, who doesn’t really need the lesson anyway, gets distracted with a work call. This infuriates Kitty. McAllister excuses himself and Kitty is left practicing her dance steps with the male instructor, which might have been okay — only he’s just not that hot for a Latin dance instructor.
Cut to Tommy and Julia’s house. She’s unpacking in the bedroom when Tommy comes in to apologize for how slobby the house has gotten in her absence.
Tommy: I’m sorry. I reverted. Julia then gets all apologetic.
Julia: I’m sorry I’ve been gone so long. I wish I could take back
so many things I said. Can’t we just go back to the way things were?
…it’s just that I’ve been diddling my slutty office manager, and she feeds me bear claws in bed. Submitted by on Tue, 2007-11-27 22:35. |
