“Brothers & Sisters” Episode 211 Recap: “Missionary Imposition”
Hmm. From the sound of it these two haven’t been intimate lately. Julia can read the writing on the wall and realizes she’s not going to be getting any Getty that night. She sighs and asks if maybe she could drive up to the vineyard tomorrow so they could have lunch. Tommy agrees, but he wants to meet her at the restaurant. No doubt he’s trying to avoid a confrontation between Lena and Julia. Cut across town to the restaurant where Scotty works. Kevin is at the bar waiting for Scotty to get off the clock.
Scotty pops ut of the kitchen and they kiss. Kevin asks what took him so long. Scotty: I don’t just cook, Kevin. I also clean. Dating Scotty is a bit like dating Cinderella. He has to do all these humiliating chambermaid chores and at midnight his Ford Ranchero turns back into a pumpkin. Scotty pours himself a glass of wine and then starts yammering on about how clever he was in “finishing a grilled turbot with cubed red peppers and cumin.” How daring! After congratulating himself on his culinary ingenuity, Scotty asks Kevin what’s new with him. Kevin sheepishly admits that Jason called. Hey, hasn’t Jason been calling for like three episodes now? Kevin explains that Jason is back in LA and wants to meet for coffee. When he sees the alarmed look on Justin’s face, Kevin tells him he’ll cancel the meeting if that’s what he wants. Scotty bravely pretends he’s fine with it. Kevin: Oh good, because I told him he could drop by. Scotty looks like he’s just been smacked with a grilled turbot, but continues to pretend he’s fine with Jason and Kevin meeting.
Cut to the next morning at Walker Produce. Oh hey, there’s Saul. Looks like they dusted him off and trotted him out for this one scene. He’s with Sarah, trying to convince her to take a risk and follow Graham’s (Steven Webber) suggestion to go make a proposal to some big Asian conglomerate. Enter Graham. He tells Sarah to pack because he just booked them a meeting that very evening with Simon Lao, the chairman of “Golden Plum” imports. Sarah protests that they’re not ready, but Graham tells her this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Graham: You’ll just have to wing it.
Sarah agrees to go but tells him the “fun night out” is off the table. God, she’s such a party pooper these days. What happened to the girl who used to do tequila shots while dancing on bars? And I have to ask, why is Graham continuing to pursue her when she’s been playing so damn hard to get? I mean, I know his career has been spotty ever since Wings ended, but surely he has other options?
