“Brothers & Sisters” Episode 212 Recap: "Compromises"Cut to Sarah’s house. She’s on the phone with her soon to be ex-husband, Joe. She just found out he’s taking first wife Paula to Paris for her birthday. Sarah slams down the phone in fury. She and Joe had talked about going to Paris for her birthday. Paula stole her trip. Sarah decides that only response is to go out and get drunk. She badgers Kevin to go with her.
Sarah: Come on Kevin, we’re Walkers. Let’s go do what Walkers do
best!
Kevin says fine, they’ll go out, but he gets to pick the place. Which means forget about Skybar, the Standard Hotel Lounge, the Chateau Marmont patio, and the like. Instead, let’s drive all the way down to Long Beach to do karaoke! Cut back to Michigan campaign headquarters. Travis is watching the news and he’s all excited that video footage of McAllister and his two kids at the subzero state fair are getting a lot of play. Robert tells Travis that he spoke to the Governor about that endorsement he promised.
Robert: He’ll see me tonight. Late. Uh, it’s not looking to good for that endorsement McAllister was banking on. Jason shows up at campaign headquarters to give the most inane bit of dialog ever about how the kid’s fevers are dropping, yet their noses are running, and they’re getting drowsy now that the cold medicine kicked in. Honestly, does he think he’s Florence Nightingale? I hear that woman was a total bore at cocktail parties.
Robert heads off to a campaign stop, and Jason asks Travis what he can do to help out on the campaign. Travis reminds Jason that they’re in Michigan. It’s a relatively conservative state so he should “keep a low profile.” Then Travis, thinking Jason already knows, lets it slip that Isaac was the one that outed him all those years ago. Cut to later at the hotel. Kitty is in bed with McAllister’s two sick kids. Robert walks in and delights at the domestic tableau.
Kitty is clearly feeling all motherly, her arms around the rug rats. Kitty: They are just like these little angels. She coughs a little and complains her allergies are acting up. Then she coughs some more and Robert feels her forehead. She’s burning up, which means she must’ve caught the kids’ flu. Robert can spot a Typhoid Mary when he sees one and quickly backs away from the bed. He asks if it would be all right for him to “sleep in the other room.” Cut to hours later in Kitty and the rug rats’ hotel sickroom. Kitty wants to sleep, but the kids want to watch TV. She tosses them the remote and tells them to watch something, but quietly so she can rest. They go immediately for the hotel porn. No doubt later they plan on raiding the mini bar and ordering up some hookers. These kids know how to party!
Kitty wakes up enough to notice the porn and commandeers the remote. She puts on a kids' cartoon, and then ducks into the bathroom to call her Mom. Submitted by on Tue, 2008-02-19 22:25. |
