Brothers & Sisters (4.02) "Breaking The News" Recap
We open to Kitty trying to get an appointment with her doctor, when Senator Pretty Boy barges in and says his opponent has his medical records from when they faked us out about his death. Kitty starts trying to reassure him so she can spill the beans about her medical issues, but chickens out. And we have a plot thread for the episode. We zoom in on Kevin getting ready to go to work to deal with the whole heart attack thing, as Scotty prepares to …prepare breakfast. God, will they ever let this man do anything but cook for a Walker? Scotty senses that a bloody steak isn’t the only carnage on Kevin’s mind and goes to talk him down from going all nuclear on Senator Pretty Boy's opponent. I don’t really want him to succeed because Kevin is in full on beyotch mode.
Kevin then pitches having dinner with another gay couple, who Scotty knows he hates. Smelling a rat, Scotty accuses Kevin of plotting with the couple’s infant daughter to set up play dates with their future baby. Am I the only one sees a very special cross-ever episode down the road? Look, Scotty, it's Cameron, Mitchell and Lily from ABC's Modern Family here to visit Disney Land! Back on our show, Scotty is not pleased at Kevin's less than subtle pressure pressure, and snaps back hard. As if. He should know that won’t slow a Walker down.
Why is Scotty always cooking related? Over at Rebecca and Justin's place, the less than dynamic duo fight about him not being smart enough because being a doctor is hard! I'm not sure what's to fight about here. Isn't his dimwittedness known around the world by now? He's also testy as Rebecca's being an inconsiderate selfish roommate what with her working, cooking, and cleaning while he tries to learn some bones. The Senator and the lady governor we all vaguely remember from L.A. Law meet to discuss the fact that he has proof she’s a slut, and she has proof he’s the living dead (hey, he was a corpse, they brought him back to life, and it explains the character so well). They agree to not go nuclear, so you just know somebody is going to go nuclear. Submitted by on Mon, 2009-10-05 08:00. |
