"Glee" recap (1.20): "Theatricality"

It's the long awaited Lady Gaga episode. Will it prove to be as strong as the last few weeks? Will it live up to the power of Madonna? Read on to find out.

Tina has been called into Figgins' office because she is sporting her usual Goth-light look. Figgins is suddenly concerned by this because "American teens have come down with a serious case of Twilight fever." Amen! And not just the teens.

Anyway, it seems some of the outcast girls donned fangs and capes and attacked Jacob in the hallway. "This is totally going to get Robert Pattinson's attention."

Figgins insists Tina must be into the occult because of her style and forbids her to dress Goth anymore. She's really not all that Goth. She just looks like she shops entirely at Hot Topic.

Figgins also apparently thinks Vampires are real. Guess what? Take a shot. I know they're making fun of Evangelicals who overreact to everything from Harry Potter to Goth fashion, but Figgins is assumedly an educated man. The idea that he'd believe in vampires is just silly. As usual, it's a pretty contrived setup.

Finn's mom is leading him downstairs for a surprise. "Is there a car down here for me?" "Honey, we're indoors."

Sorry, Finn. No car, but there is Burt and Kurt with a "Welcome Home" sign and sparkling cider to celebrate. Burt asked Carol and Finn to move in. Burt: "We've got a lot of food. It's ethnic food. Some ethnicity that's not ours."

Finn is freaking out and is not okay with sharing a room with Kurt. As for Kurt, he’s still insisting on redecorating. As if a new coat of paint and some curtains will make everything okay. Not all life's problems can be fixed with interior decorating, Kurt.

Per Figgins orders, Tina is now wearing a baggy, over-sized gray hoodie. "I feel like an Asian Branch-Davidian." Everyone suggests new looks for her. Brittany's ideas include: cross country skier, a chicken, and one I couldn't catch no matter how many times I listened to it. Readers?

Tina isn't having it, however. "I know who I am and I'm not allowed to show it. It's like communism."
