Project Runway 406 Recap: "Eye Candy"

Christian seemed to think pretty much everyone's outfit but his was "a hot mess," but seriously, a few of them were just hot. Rami's was a snug-bodiced, flare-skirted dress with many tiny paper pleats that, as Tim commented, would look great on Jillian and looked beyond great on the red-haired model.

On to the runway.

Ricky's dress was a cute, shiny silver bodice with a Hershey's wrapper bubble skirt. It was nice to see him not left up there at the end, wondering if this was his last hurrah. And for the second challenge in a row, no crying.

Chris busted every easy preconception about what he'd do and instead, brought the fashion with his Andy Warhol/Stephen Sprouse hybrid design of interspersed Hershey's and Twizzler's logos with a cute little brown mini-skirt. He came in second – not bad for a guy who was there at all on a technicality (he was back after being previously eliminated, due to Jack Mackenroth's illness during the competition). And let me now lie down on the floor and hyperventilate with love of his model's shoes, platform sandals with gladiator ties that are going to be on my feet as soon as I can find them.

Much as it pains me to speak ill of my future girlfriend Kit, her problem on this episode was not, as she said, that Tim Gunn saw her in her pajamas without a bra, but instead that the boots she paired with her punk-ish outfit were wrong, wrong, wrong. Also, the hair? Did those Tresemme folks let Christian do it?
