"Project Runway" 6.5 Recap: "Fashion Headliners"

The designers scurry around grabbing the "living" and "style" sections, but sadly no one grabs the comics (and I was so looking forward to seeing a Marmaduke or Mary Worth inspired creation). It culminates in the unforgettable sight of the designers dragging Hefty Force Flex trash bags full of discarded newspapers across the floor.

The designers have just one day to make their paper creations, and it's clear that some of them have imagination and courage, and some ... don't.

Now comes the part of the recap where I get to gleefully tear into someone. Just let me state for the record how much I'm really, really starting to loathe Nicolas. He's unbearably smug, egotistical, and he has the creepiest giggle since Chuckie. Wait a minute ... OMG!

Tim comes around to assess the designers, and is most impressed with Christopher, who once again is ambitious and risk-taking with a complicated and daring number that looks fantastic.

Meanwhile, there's Johnny. Tim tells him that his dress is basically , well, horrible, and looks like it was put together by kindergartners. He has some kind of paper birds on the dress shoulder, and Tim says it looks like the dress is being attacked by the birds. Ouch!

When Tim leaves, Johnny crumples up the dress and throws it out. Note: Remember that fact for later. It's very important!
