"Project Runway" 6.7 Recap: "The Sky is the Limit"Warning, spoilers ahead! Read no further if you don't want to know what happened on last night's Project Runway. Phew! That was ... close. With only two members of "Team Gay" left, I was terrified my words from earlier this week were going to come back to haunt me. In my The Amazing Race recap , I wrote "recapping a show because of a gay contestant can be a dicey situation. Frequently he'll turn out to be an asshat, which means we're stuck with recapping an asshat's adventures until he's eliminated from the show." My friends, we were this close to having to recap the solo gay adventures of this asshat.
This week's challenge is to create a design in blue for a major department store (I think it was Macy's, but I'm not sure. They only mentioned the name ... once or twice). The ten remaining designers have to pair up in teams of two (always a disaster), and Christopher pairs up with Epperson. We see more of Christopher in this episode than we have in any other show. Hmm ... do you think that'll mean something?
We get some hilariously blatant foreshadowing when Christopher talks about how he and Epperson are the "dream team" and about how confident (borderline cocky) he is. Uh-Oh! Nicolas is teamed up with flapper seamstress Louise, and once again he immediately casts aspersions on another designer's abilities (although this time I agree with him. Ruffles are hideous). The designers are supposed to create outfits in shades of blue that a modern girl would buy off the rack, and that complement each other. Most of the focus is on Christopher and Epperson because, well ... their outfits are, well ... yeah.
