"Project Runway" 7.03 Recap: "The Highs and Lows of Fashion"

* NOTE - I'll be filling in this week for Frank Anthony Polito, our regular PR recapper this season. Frank and the rest of the Viewing Party will be back next week.

This week's episode (and recap) is a tribute to one of the greatest Runway designers ever. And by "greatest" I mean "Bat-Crap Insane".

There's always one designer each season who thinks "outside the box". Then there's this season's Ping, whose box was draped with seas of flowing taffeta and cascading waterfalls of poorly-stitched costume work.

The challenge this week brings the designers to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where classic works of fashion are displayed. I looked hard, but I couldn't see Celine's head-turning Oscar dress anywhere, so I call B.S. on this whole thing.

By 'head-turning" I mean as in The Exorcist

The designers are told they have to create a design that would fit in with these museum pieces, and to make sure there's tons of drama ... they have to team up. A collective groan echoes throughout the museum. Obviously, these designers have seen Project Runway before, and know what's in store for them.
