The Best and Worst of "Project Runway" 7.04: "Design Your Heart Out"

Last night the designers were asked to create a Campbell's Soup inspired dress for some very special clients — women who have had heart disease. The thought that occurred to me as they were sent down the runway was, "haven't these ladies suffered enough?"

Herewith, the best and worst of last night's Project Runway.

The Best

1. The heart disease ladies' personal stories were touching. I particularly liked Jay Nicolas' plucky little Asian lady whose heart stopped for two minutes.

2. Guest judge Georgina Chapman was great. Critical without being purposfully mean, and wow is that woman gorgeous! She must have started out as a model.

3. Heidi really let loose with the curt, Germanic abruptness we love her for: "We know you can sew Jesus — but we question your taste."  Note, she didn't say "taste level" like she usually does. For Jesus it's just "taste". Ouch.

4. Jesus actually went home this week over Anna Lynnett. She arguably had the uglier dress - but after his multiple trips to the bottom two he definitely deserved to be auf'd

The Worst

1. Campbell Soup Company. Requiring that the dresses be Campbell's soup can red and that their brand logo appear on everything seems to be major overreach by a sponsor. I was so bored by all that bright red, and I blame Campbell for it! From now on I'm buying someone else's soup.

2. No drama! The biggest workroom crisis was Janeane getting the hem of her dress wet. No designer catfights, no clashes with hard to please clients. Sort of a snooze.
