“Torchwood” Episode 104 Recap: "Cyberwoman"

Lisa. She's what's for dinner The fight that ensues between Lisa and the pterodactyl is right up there with the fight between Ripley and the alien queen. Having your eyes pecked out by a flying dinosaur is no way to go, but I think we can all agree Lisa has it coming.

Jack, Gwen, Owen and a very unhappy Ianto ride the lift that brings them to street level under the cloak of invisibility of the spatial temporal rift. As they go topside, Tosh is finishing up her rewiring assignment. She then runs over to the water tower.

"It worked! What happened?" Tosh says, having missed almost every significant event of the evening. Everyone is speechless and catching their breath. As a thank you for saving his life, Ianto winds back and punches Jack right in the face.

Ianto: You could have saved her! You're worse than anything locked up down there! One day, I'll have the chance to save you and I'll watch you suffer and die.

Drama much, Ianto?

For no reason whatsoever, Toshiko says the power should be coming back on, giving Ianto incentive to race back into the lair to save Lisa from being pterodactyl chow.

Just as the power comes back on, the pizza Ianto ordered a lifetime ago has finally arrived. Where did he order them from, Italy?

The electronic locks disengage because the power has come back online. The clueless pizza delivery girl wanders into Torchwood looking for Ianto. Overhead, she hears the pterodactyl but it doesn't seem to register as odd to her. Working her way through Oxford, she's not.

As the gang chased after Ianto, Jack scolds Tosh for blabbing about the locks. She counters he never tells her what's going on. Torchwoodies snipe at each other because they're like a family. Except for Ianto. He's the live-in help.

It's us or her Ianto gets as far as the front desk. He pulls a gun out from under it and holds the others at bay.

Ianto says in desperation he's going back to save his fembot, and if anyone tries to stop him, he'll shoot. How fired is this guy? And if he thinks he's going to get a good reference from Jack, he's mistaken.

Gwen yells, "Ianto, put the gun down!" which distracts him long enough for Jack to make his move. He easily disarms Ianto and turns the gun on him. Ianto starts to cry like a baby.

Jack gives Ianto one last chance to save his job, his self-respect and his ass: go back in there and execute Lisa.

Jack: You brought this down on us. You hid her. You hid yourself from us. Now it's time for you to stand as part of the team. The girl you loved is gone. Your loyalty is to us now.
Ianto:
You can't order me to do that.
Jack:
You execute her or I'll execute you both!
Ianto:
I won't do it. You can't make me.

Nyah. What is Ianto, five years old? Jack gives Ianto five minutes, then, they're coming after him. Jack should order the pizza from now on.

Inside, Ianto runs through the lab, searching for his beloved. He finds her lying in a huge pool of blood. Ianto picks her head up, but she's as floppy as a doll. Ianto cries in agony.

"Ianto?" From the corner of the room, pizza girl is calling his name. Startled, he draws his gun and aims it at her. Pizza girl looks different. She has a bloody tear across her forehead. She looks like Jesus, the delivery guy who can turn water into marinara sauce.
