Ugly Betty Episode 201 Recap: “How Betty Got Her Grieve Back”D’OH! I’m sure the right wing crazies will be pleased to see they’ve finally found a cure for gender confusion: all it takes is a gruesome car wreck and three weeks in a coma. ![]() At Casa Suarez, Betty is busily making dinner but happy now that she’s snuffed the torch she’s been carrying around for Henry. She tells Justin she heard all about the fashion elf at work, but spoke to Daniel who said it would be okay for him to spend the summer at Mode as an intern. He OMGs a bunch and hugs her, and seriously, how awesome is Betty as an aunt? I truly hope all the Justins out there right now have an Aunt Betty looking out for them, don’t you?
Justin becoming an intern at Mode is the best development on a TV show since Alexis Carrington marched into the courtroom on Dynasty. So I’m giving this episode a 7 only because we need someplace higher to go later on. I know the next few weeks will find Justin attaining even greater levels of fabulosity as Mode’s very own fashion elf. Submitted by on Thu, 2007-09-27 23:39. |

If this was Doctor Who
Great recap!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of that despite just watching the episode a few hours earlier.
And INTERESTING what you had to say about the paparazzo - I totally did not notice that at all. I wasn't really paying attention to him anyway, but still.
The premiere was definitely awesome though. I could've done without the whole "Santos is alive but isn't" thing though. Just really messed with my emotions. Otherwise though, awesome episode. Totally on par with Season 1.
EDIT: I just realized I say "though" far too much. :<
Justin quoting Coco Chanel was genius!
:-)
Awesome!
I love this show so much!
So for reasons that don't
aw, c'mon!
For reference's sake
Paparazzo is, in fact, the original singular (as portrayed by Walter Santesso in Fellini's La Dolce Vita); paparazzi is the derivative plural thereof.
Just something I know… [/Grubstick]
So glad to see you recapping this, Steven!
coz I love your Torchwood recaps. Also great to hear you quote Flight of the Conchords.
I totally did NOT see Santos' fate. After crying so much at his death last season, I was happy to see him again, only to have him taken from me :(
I love that Amanda gets a storyline here, she's a great character. And having Marc by her side is an added bonus :)
