Ugly Betty Episode 207 Recap: “A Nice Day for a Posh Wedding”It turns out Posh is just locked in a closet somewhere, but it being Wili, I was really hoping she’d devised something more fiendish for her nemesis. Like maybe trap her in a Saw-like torture device where a pair of stilettos would pop her implants the second the church organ played the final note of the Pachelbel Canon.
Wili’s wearing this triumphant smirk on her face the whole time she walks down the aisle. She gets to the front and … Hey! The priest is played by Harold and Maude’s Bud Cort. When did he start looking more like Maude than Harold?
He’s just started the ceremony when Betty comes charging down the aisle screaming, “I object!” Dramatically timed commercial. We come back to find Daniel and Betty sequestered in a private room at the church. Daniel at first is thrilled to have confirmation about Wili and Dwayne, but isn’t so happy when he gets the little detail that Betty caught them doing it four months ago.
He is such a self-involved ass. Maybe if he actually let her give her side of the story he’d realize how much was at stake for her family and how deeply she cares about her father. Whereas there’s no love lost between Bradford and Daniel, who seems motivated more out of his hatred of Wilhelmina and jealousy of Alexis than anything else. Stupid ass. I hope his new assistant totally gives him crabs. Whoever he is. Daniel goes back into the ceremony and demands to speak to his father, who rather surprisingly agrees to this totally insane, inappropriate request and leaves the altar with him.
Wili tries to proceed with the ceremony by herself, turning to the priest and saying, “I do.” When Bud says it doesn’t really work that way, she whispers to Marc to do something to stall. Marc, remembering his nipples are on the chopping block if he doesn’t get Amanda some PR and PDQ, seizes the day, announcing that Fey Sommers’ daughter is going to sing for them. Then he pushes Amanda up to the front of the crowded church. Submitted by on Mon, 2007-11-12 07:14. |
