Cut back to Ojai Foods Holly pokes her head into Tommy's office.

Holly: Hey, do you have five minutes?

Tommy: For you Holly, I have three.

What an ass. Tommy and the rest of the Walkers have been inordinately hard on poor Holly. Sure, she carried on an affair with their dead father and, okay, sure, she has an age-inappropriate hairdo, but I say its time to cut the old gal some slack!

For her part, Holly takes the high road and chooses not to notice the dig. She wants to talk with Tommy about the winery proposal. She tells him that Bill Walker wanted to buy the vineyard before he died to give it to Tommy to run! That was the only reason Bill brought Sarah in to be president of Ojai Foods and left Tommy as vice president.

Holly: He believed in you more than anyone. He knew you wouldn't let him down.

Whether what Holly is saying is true or not, it's pretty darn clever because Tommy has been feeling sort of under-appreciated around Ojai Foods. It always bothered him that his dad basically pushed him aside to offer Sarah the gig as President.

Tommy: Look Holly, this conversation is over.

Holly: Fair enough. I mean, it's really not your call anyhow.

Ouch, a subtle reminder that Sarah is the one calling the shots at Ojai Foods. If Tommy ever wants to step out behind her shadow he needs to get behind the winery proposal.

Cut to Senator McAllister's office. They are getting ready to leave for San Diego. Kitty has about thirty bags in tow.

McAllister: So much for traveling light.

Kitty: I needed to plan for everything. So, uh, I figured out why we're going to see Michael Pellington.

She notes that in the past Pellington has been a major contributor to Presidential candidates. She also checked Senator McAllister's travel records and can't help but notice he's made recent stops in Iowa and New Hampshire. Could it be that Senator McAllister is pondering a bid for the White House!? That Kitty is a regular Nancy Drew.

Cut to the helipad on the roof of the office building. McAllister and Kitty are taking a helicopter to San Diego. Kitty is nervous. She's never been on a helicopter before. The Senator is taking her on a very wild ride indeed.

McAllister: Now don't you wish you'd packed less?

Kitty: Senator! Are you running for President?

Senator: Why yes I am Ms. Walker. And I'm going to win.

Cue the patriotic/romantic strings as the Senator's helicopter takes flight. Uh oh, Brothers & Sisters seems to be morphing into the West Wing . I'm not happy about that at all.

Cut to Ojai Foods . Sarah has called Tommy into her office to talk about something important.

Sarah: Oh my god I absolutely have to have sex with my husband tonight. It is a biological imperative.

What, is Sarah like Natasha Henstridge from Species ? Somebody better call her husband Joe and warn him.

Tommy wants to change the subject. He asks Sarah to reconsider Holly's winery proposal. He thinks Sarah's dislike for Holly might be clouding her judgment

Sarah: We know absolutely nothing about wine.

Tommy: Oh, what, you think Dad had some intrinsic knowledge about fruit?

Sarah: She got to you, didn't she?

Tommy: I think you are in denial about how well Holly knew Dad and what he told her.

Uncle Saul enters. He's curious what Holly said to Tommy to get him to change his opinion of the winery proposal.

Tommy: She said Dad was going to buy it for me to run.

Both Sarah and Uncle Saul are astounded at this revelation

Sarah: Oh boy. That's not even manipulation. That's just plain evil.

Tommy: See, this is what I'm talking about, you don't trust my judgment!

Tommy storms out of the office. Saul assures Sarah that he'll deal with Holly. He won't allow her to drive a wedge between the Walker siblings.

Sarah: Thank you Saul. That allows me to spend the rest of my day focusing on the really important work. Which is, trying to find a babysitter for Valentine's Day.

Do they ever actually do any work at Ojai Foods? Sure doesn't sound like it.
