Brothers & Sisters Recaps: Week 11 (page 5)
by Dennis Ayers Page 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 - Next Cut to Promises, Malibu. This time it is Kevin's turn to visit. Justin looks a bit bored listening to his older brother recount his most recent tiff with Kitty. Kevin asks Justin what he thinks.
Kevin agrees. Cut to Ojai Foods. Nora is now working the reception desk – or more accurately, the reception desk is working her. She's trying to field hundreds of calls but in the process she's putting everyone on hold or, worse, transferring them to the wrong extension. Tommy gets another employee to take over and then asks Nora why the shipping department never got their invoices.
Tommy rolls his eyes. Just then a Great Dane shows up in the hall, growling and startling Tommy. Turns out that Nora has sent a memo to all employees encouraging them to bring their pets to work. She's “read a study” about it.
So what if employee cubicles start smelling like litter boxes? Tommy throws up his hands in despair. Having Momma Nora around the office is turning into an all-around disaster. We cut to Senator McAllister's Santa Barbara ranch. He is in his study with Kitty. She is looking at the pictures on his desk. He points out his two children (ages 8 and 10). As they talk, Rob Lowe goes to a gun cabinet and removes a rifle. Now here's a twist I didn't see coming. Is he going to shoot her if she doesn't take the job? Or maybe the show has been renamed to Brothers & Sisters: CSI and each week one of the Walkers will get murdered in some gruesome fashion!
Isn't even joking about that sexual harassment? Cut to Ojai Foods. Tommy is complaining to Sarah about what a problem Nora has been to manage.
Kevin enters Sarah's office, stumbling over the many dogs roaming loose outside in the hall. Then Nora shows up, all peppy, to remind her kids that the board meeting is about to start. Kevin tells everyone that they all have to go to Justin's group therapy session on Thursday. They all mark their mental calendars. Before heading in to the board meeting, Tommy pulls Nora aside and strongly suggests she keep her mouth shut during the proceedings. She looks at him as if he's an idiot.
Of course, as smart viewers can guess, she's gonna say something. The woman can't help herself. Cut to the board meeting. Things are just wrapping up and Saul is about to call the meeting to a close when Holly raises her hand and asks if she can address the shareholders. Saul agrees and Holly stands to present a detailed proposal for the purchase of a Napa Valley winery. She has flowcharts, she has binders. The lady is prepared and persuasive. As for Nora, she looks like she just swallowed a wine cork. |
