Brothers & Sisters Recaps: Week 12 (page 3)
by Dennis Ayers Page 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 - Next Cut to Sarah's house. Paige is playing a video game with a bored looking little Latina girl. Sarah walks into the kitchen and finds husband Joe with the Latina girl's mother. She's holding a guitar and Joe has his arms wrapped around her, teaching her some chords. The cozy tableau looks a little suspect to Sarah. Could it be her house-husband is catting around on her? The Latina woman introduces herself as Vanessa. She says how nice it was for Joe to offer her guitar lessons.
Uh, obviously the guitar symbolizes Joe's libido or something and Sarah's perturbed that, lately, Joe isn't teaching her any “chords.” Vanessa can sense the tension and excuses herself. After she leaves, Joe puts his arms around Sarah.
Like you, Joe. Like you. Is it me or is there a running tension between these two. She resents him a bit because he gets to stay home with the kids while she has to be the main breadwinner for the family? Cut to the Walker mansion. Kitty is in the dining room with Elise, the executive matchmaker. Elise is going over Kitty's completed questionnaire. Nora barges in to introduce herself.
Nora clearly plans to eavesdrop, but Kitty resolves to ignore her and turns to Elise.
A little product that takes two “C” size batteries perhaps? Elise scans down further on the questionnaire and notes that Kitty's priority in a mate seems to be looks.
Nora ruminates on how looks fade and Kitty should be seeking someone intelligent and cultured. Someone who likes travel and the theater. Elise interrupts to say she just signed a male client who sounds exactly like the man Nora is describing. The executive matchmaker wants to fix Nora up in addition to Kitty!
It's a twofer. Cut to next day at Senator McAllister's office. Kitty walks in and hands McAllister her revision notes on one of his speeches. He wants to go over it but Kitty begs off. She has to leave early for a “personal matter.” The Senator looks a bit pensive.
Kitty reluctantly comes clean. She tells McAllister the boyfriend thing was made up. She lied to Noreen to convince her nothing was going on between them.
Kitty leaves and McAllister sort of frowns. I note that he doesn't, in fact, wish her luck. |
