Cut to a road shoulder on Mulholland Drive overlooking the city of LA. Chad and Kevin are parked in Chad's convertible enjoying the view. Quite a romantic setting, but then Chad starts complaining about his new acting gig. He got his script today and turns out he only has three lines.

Kevin's had enough.

Kevin: Okay, we're parked at Inspiration Point so you can bitch about your job?
Chad: I thought we were friends.
Kevin: I don't know what we are. You give me shoes, you admire my body and you know, taking someone up to a beautiful location to park is, regardless of categories, a date. Come on, driving me all the way up here? You're either going to hack me into a million little pieces or you're gonna kiss me!
Chad: Well I'm not a serial killer.
Kevin: Wait. So you are gay.
Chad: No man. But it doesn't mean I don't think you're hot.
Kevin: Wait. What about your girlfriend?
Chad: She doesn't mind. I've seen her make out with tons of girls.
Kevin: Well, who am I to judge.

At that, Chad leans in for a kiss and the two of them go at it hot and heavy.

Ironic isn't it? Here Kevin meets a guy and in the space of a single episode he is doing the deed. Meanwhile Rob Lowe's character, Senator McAllister (presumably brought on as a love interest for Calista Flockhart) has appeared in three episodes. So far Kitty hasn't gotten so much as a longing gaze out of him.

Speaking of those two-- we cut back to Kitty and McAllister's “platonic” working date. McAllister talks about his ex-wife a bit. He fondly recalls what a “great team” they were. Kitty says its getting really late and they should leave. He helps her with her coat.

McAllister: Thanks for not holding this night against me.
Kitty: Tomorrow you and I are going to pretend that this night never happened.

That's going to be hard, Kitty. As they exit the restaurant they are ambushed by a a mob of paparazzi – all there to snag pictures of Senator McAllister out on a date with former conservative talk show host Kitty Walker. Now who could have tipped off the gossip rags I wonder?

Cut to Sarah's house. She and Joe are in the kitchen and she brings up the subject of Vanessa.

Joe: Sarah, you have no idea what its like. Being at home all the time. Being around kids all day.
Sarah: I'm sorry. I just miss us.
Joe: Yeah. I miss us too.

Something tells me these two are going to have some serious problems down the road.
