TV ROUNDUP
A slow week for gay men on TV, with no more gay men on Survivor, Amazing Race, or American Idol. ABC announced that Eyes would be taking a break for awhile in May and June, possibly returning in July.

In upcoming news, Will and Grace was officially renewed for another season, and Bravo's slate of new reality shows debuting this summer includes Situation: Comedy, a sitcom-writer competition hosted by Sean Hayes that debuts August 2nd. Plus, we have the return of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on June 7th.

The fourth lead character in the CBS drama pilot Love Monkey has been revealed to be a gay former Major League Baseball player, played by Christopher Wiehl, which brings the total of pilots with known gay characters to six so far (more info on those here).

IT'S OFFICIAL, THEY'RE GETTING MARRIED...SOMEDAY
Elton John and boyfriend David Furnish are tying the knot. Britain's The Mirror tabloid newspaper reported Monday that John and Furnish would marry in Windsor before Christmas, but John's publicist said a date has not been set, and the wedding may be as late as 2006.

Oh, so a shotgun wedding in Vegas when you're drunk is good enough for Britney, but not for you two? Snobby homosexuals.

ADAM, STEVE, AND PARKER POSEY
Among the many films debuting at the Tribeca Film Festival last week was Adam and Steve, about the ups and downs of two New York couples, one gay (played by Craig Chester and Malcolm Gets) and one straight (Parker Posey and Chris Kattan). There are few reviews of it available yet, but Parker Posey's in it, so we're already liking it.

ONE BORING, CLICHED LIFE TO LIVE
GLAAD may want to ask One Life to Live for their award back soon--sources close to the show tell me that Paul Cramer's killer on the daytime drama is going to be revealed to be a closeted gay man who was being blackmailed for his sexuality.
Memo to ABC: that storyline is so twenty years ago. And it wasn't even that interesting then.

That's it for this week! Check back next Friday for a new installment of Best. Gay. Week. Ever.
