FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE
There are a couple of noteworthy DVD releases out this week including the Spanish comedy 20 Centimetres and the French film A Time to Leave. Greg Hernandez over at Out in Hollywood says A Love to Hide makes him grateful to be a gay man in America in 2006 rather than in France in 1942 during the German occupation. He says the film is heartbreaking, but should be seen by everyone. Something a little more lighthearted is Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall. Remember, I said a little lighthearted. We are talking Sondheim after all. The DVD includes performances by Bernadette Peters, Glenn Close, Patti LuPone and Liza Minelli. No doubt Perez Hilton was in attendance trying to get pictures of Liza's, well, you know.

3 Needles is pretty much it at the box office unless you want to check out the sequel to Van Wilder. Or you could just throw yourself into a crematorium.

No new Brothers & Sisters this week, but you might check out our new Brothers & Sisters page. It has all of our articles on the show, plus recaps for all the episodes aired so far this season. It's a great way to get caught up before new episodes start on Dec 10th.

Speaking of recaps, we're going to be recapping the new season of The Real World. Sure, the show has been on since before the internet roamed the earth. And, yes, you don't really want to watch it. But I bet you're curious as to what our gay boy Davis is going to get up to. Will he win over the homophobic Stephen? Will he keep his shirt on longer than five minutes? Will Perez Hilton get a shot of his naughty bits? Well, you can save the space on your TIVO and come here to find out the answer to those Real World questions and more!

Pratt's brother officially came out on ER last night. Pop over to the BEST. GAY. DAY. EVER. tomorrow for our take on it.

Desperate Housewives airs a new episode on Sunday night. A reader over on the blog commented that ever since Andrew's return he's been very good—and not very gay. Coincidence? Let's hope so and that Andrew will eventually have a storyline that mentions he's gay again. BTW, can I just say how much I loathe Lynette? Yes, she was right about the pedophile, but she is the bossiest, most judgmental, unpleasant character I've seen in a long time.

The Class is back with a new episode on Monday night. Speaking of The Class, our poll this week asked what you thought of the character of Perry Pearl. 55% of you thought the portrayal was either insulting or didn't work. (And two percent wanted Perez to post dirty pictures of him.) Help Me Help You airs Tuesday night with Jim Rash's character no doubt going
ga-ga over another straight guy. Assuming it doesn't get canceled right away, Big Day will have its second chance to win us over on ABC. No doubt gay best man Fred will continue to creep the groom out with his lingering looks and too-long hugs. The Real World airs on Wednesday. Apparently, Davis says some not nice things. Ugly Betty has a new ep with gay boy Marc doing the dirty work for Wilhelmina

I haven't mentioned The Wire in a while, but Omar is still going strong over on HBO on Sunday nights. The highly acclaimed series concludes its season this month. I haven't watched FOX's War at Home in eons, but word has it that Kenny will be coming out to his folks some time soon. I'll keep you posted when that happens. Scrubs is back as of last night and I discussed the show here yesterday. I know it's up against Grey's Anatomy, but I don't care. You should watch it.

Finally, Logo polls are still open for you to vote on a whole slew of items for The Year in Queer. Are Lance and Reichen the hottest couple of the year? (No, that's me and Brent, but somehow we weren't even nominated. Sigh....) Was Daniel Craig's turn as Bond the sexiest of the year? (Maybe if he'd done that gay scene!) Did Little Miss Sunshine's Steve Carrell turn in the funniest gay performance of the year? (Definitely.) Tired of my opinions? Then go vote here!

Now I'll shut up so you can have the BEST.GAY.WEEK.EVER!

That's it for this week! Check back next Friday for a new installment
of Best. Gay. Week. Ever., or read previous installments here.
