Ask the Flying Monkey! (May 4, 2009)Q: Okay even though he isn’t gay, I need more pictures of Kelly’s “Max” from Real Housewives of New York. I have only seen commercials of him in his bikini. Can you capture some to post online? -- Javier A: We can indeed!

A: Bart, I’m afraid I have some bad news. “It’s something that just won’t happen,” Rob Tapert, the co-creator of Xena: Warrior Princess (and the husband of star Lucy Lawless) tells the Flying Monkey. “I don’t think it’s going to happen for Lucy and Renee [O’Connor]. In twenty years or ten years, in some amount of years, like MacGyver, like Charlie’s Angels, it’ll happen like that [with other actresses].”
Rob Tapert and wife Lucy Lawless For the record, it’s not that Rob hasn’t been trying hard to get the movie made. He’s been working on it for years now, trying every angle. “I thought for a heartbeat it would [get made],” Tapert said, “but at the end of the day, the rules of motion picture marketing, where they have to commit $25 million to open a movie, in this environment, the momentum you need to get a movie made isn’t there to get a Xena movie made.” Check out my full interview with Rob Tapert here.
