Q: So Gregory Michael, who plays gay on Dante’s Cove, is now playing Calvin’s love interest on Greek. So what gives? Gay guy or just a really cool straight one? – Jason, Milwaukee, WI

A: A really cool straight one.

“I didn't have any reservations about it being gay or what kind of character it was,” Gregory tells AfterElton.com. “Just, ‘It's another role – are you ready to do it?’ You look at everything. I just got back from the holidays [when I did it]. Did I eat too much? Am I going to look good? You look at those things, not, ‘Oh, I'm doing another gay role.’”

Interestingly, Gregory didn’t even consider the aspect of doing two prominent gay roles until his manager said to him, "You know you're doing another gay role. You really are gay-for-pay now!"

“It's another role, and I love acting,” Gregory says. “I think this character, [Greek’s Grant], is very much different from Kevin, my character on Dante's Cove. Grant is the college frat guy who is very timid about his sexuality, not as in the reservation that he wants to be accepted by his friends, because he's already told his friends back home. He's comfortable being out, obviously, but it's more that it's a frat house. This is a guy's club. It's a totally different game now, and he's really like, ‘Hey, I gotta figure this out.’ So he comes out to Calvin, and we'll see what happens.”

Q: I've read that Star Trek’s Zachary Quinto is gay, and I was wondering if it's true. Can't always believe what you read online -- except on your site. -- Patrick, Ottawa, Ontario

A: Thanks, Patrick. Credibility is important to us, so we try very hard to always get our facts straight.

Toward that end, I can tell you with absolute certainty that Quinto … doesn’t discuss his sexuality with the media. (Other media outlets have said, “He doesn’t discuss his personal life,” but this is not accurate. He actually does discuss many aspects of his personal life in public — just not his sexuality.)
