(June 24, 2009)Television’s past gay teens include characters in the TV movies The Price of Love (1995) and Doing Time on Maple Drive (1992), and supporting characters on the TV shows My So-Called Life, Desperate Housewives, Dawson’s Creek, The O.C., and the soap opera One Life to Live (where the gay teen was played by none other than Ryan Phillippe).

Oh, and The Sarah Connor Chronicle’s Thomas Dekker once played a gay pre-teen. No, not on Heroes (where his teen character was de-gayed amid much controversy), but on an episode of Grosse Point, a 2000 sitcom on WB:
