Best. Gay. Week. Ever. (May 29, 2009)
FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE!
Could they pass as brothers? Does it really matter? Meanwhile, on DVD we've got special releases of Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep's Death Becomes Her along with the original Cabaret as well as Justin Long again in He's Just Not That Into You. If you don't recall, that's the movie that had the hilarious gay trailer that was about a thousand times better than the movie itself. (Although I'm still annoyed how it wasted Wilson Cruz!) This week's television starts with the lamented Pushing Daisies' return as ABC airs the final episodes on Saturday nights. I wonder how it will do compared to CBS' Harper's Island which is in the same sitch. Jai Rodriguez is on Groomer Has It while Isabella Rossellini and Juliette Lewis drop by The Graham Norton Show. Things should be interesting Sunday night as MTV does their movie awards which include two male same-sex smooches — Sean Penn and James Franco in Milk, and Paul Rudd and Thomas Lennon in I Love You, Man — in the Best Kiss Category.
Paul Rudd and Thomas Lennon, Sean Penn and James Franco Also on Sunday night is the season finale of AMC's Breaking Bad which is one of the best, yet also most difficult, shows on TV to sit through. Monday finally brings us the "Isn't it Bro-mantic" episode of Greek that introduces Gregory Michael as Grant who is Calvin's (Paul James) new potential love interest. I've seen the next three episodes and you won't believe what comes between a possible Calvin/Grant hook-up. It ain't pretty, that's all I'm saying! Nonetheless, what we do see is pretty hot! Still having to wait until the fall to see what happens between them relationship-wise is a drag.
Tuesday has new episodes of Logo's (AfterElton.com's parent company) new show Beautiful People and the second to last episode of Out of the Wild on The Discovery Channel. Speaking of which, while we were the first to recognize to the awesomeness of Jake Nodar (interviewing him way back in January), others are now chatting with him including MetroWeekly which did do us one step better by getting Jake to pose in that infamous fox fur he told us about.
Fox fur never looked so good! Also on Tuesday is a new ep of Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. But no one will be modeling fur loincloths as far as I know. Next page! And you thought you were a picky dater! Submitted by on Thu, 2009-05-28 21:22. |
