DON'T DROP THE SOAPS, BUT FEEL FREE TO DROP THE TOWELS

What IS it with towels in soap operas, anyway? Luke and Noah had not one, but TWO towel-motivated moments (remember when Noah dropped his towel after Luke walked in on him and Maddie after they had sex and MY GOD WHY AM I TALKING ABOUT THIS LIKE I ACTUALLY WATCH SOAP OPERAS AND KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT?), and the soap landscape is peppered with towel-related beefcakery.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy argues that the towel is the singlemost important item to have with you when you travel the universe, and the same apparently holds true for soap operas, where the towel is a man's equivalent of the "little black dress."

Here are a few memorable towel moments!

Austin Peck, As the World Turns

Robert Kelker-Kelly, Another World

Rhasaan Orange, Days of Our Lives

David Fumero, One Life to Live

Eric Winter (yes, THAT Eric Winter), Days of Our Lives

Adrian Bellani, Passions

Needless to say, these guys give new meaning to the phrase "Bed, Bath and Beyond."
