Best. Gay. Week. Ever. (October 3, 2008)

TV
This coming Thursday’s episode of Ugly Betty is a must see. Following last night’s cliffhanger ending, we find out who pushed Christina down the stairs. After a bunch of red herrings the real culprit comes as a bit of a surprise. Also there’s a very surprising revelation concerning that French moppet Daniel Jr. at the very end of the episode  And hey, if that's not enough to get you to tune in, next week features a scene with Eddie Cibrian in the shower!

ONLINE
Big Happenings on Hollyoaks. Okay, it's a British soap so not exclusively "online," but that's pretty much the only way for American audiences to catch it.

James Sutton returns as John Paul McQueen this week to participate in the big climax of the Niall storyline. Uh, is it my imagination or did Sutton just leave the show last week? It's like Dusty returning from the dead on As the World Turns — we're happy to have you back, but you soap actors should make up your minds whether you're staying or going. But I digress.

Anyway, Niall goes completely off the deep end, kidnaps all six McQueen kids, rigs them with dynamite and then plays a sort of Russian roulette/20 questions with mother Myra.  Suffice it to say, Myra doesn't do so well in the lightning round so Niall forces her to decide which of her children will live and which will die.

Will John Paul be blown to smithereens, or will he survive Myra’s Sophie’s choice? You'll have to tune in to Hollyoaks to find out. We'll run the clips right here on AfterElton.com.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!
Madonna
has a movie coming out in limited release October 17th! Thankfully she's not acting in this one. This time around she giving directing a shot. Given what we know of her personality, I think maybe Madonna could be good at directing. The trailer at least looks very promising....

I'm not so keen on the title. "Filth & Wisdom" sounds a little too intentionally edgy, but the cast, particularly the male lead, looks quirky in a good way. The movie has been getting fair to mixed reviews so far. Good for Madge!

Next page! Suzuki St. Pierre gets hitched, and Miley Cyrus is a total party crasher.
