HE COULD BE EATEN BY A SALTWATER CROCODILE OR FALL IN QUICKSAND OR DIE FROM THE NIPAH VIRUS! JUST GET RID OF HIM SOMEHOW ALREADY!
ABC's Brothers & Sisters launched Season 2 on Sunday night and Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) fans were a wee bit taken aback to see their favorite guy was three months into a stable, steady relationship which they didn't get to see develop. Boo! Hiss! Frankly, folks were not amused.

Maybe that's why ABC was so quick to give us a scene of domestic bliss with Jason McCallister (Eric Winter) hopping out of the shower before giving Kevin a quick smooch.

That was hot, but his was even hotter.

Proof positive that a picture is worth a thousand fantasies words!

Of course, this was followed immediately by news that Jason's boss at the church (not God, someone a little lower down the food chain) needed to chat with him ASAP. Could this be news that things were even further along and that he and Kevin could get hitched in the church? Turns out Jason drew missionary duty in Malaysia and was going to be gone for a year selling Bibles to rice farmers, factory workers, and computer programmers. (And I was hoping for his earning money doing something more like this!)

Devotees of the show have known since last fall Winters had landed on Viva Laughlin, and thus realized something had to give with Kevin and Jason. But most folks hoped it wasn't going to be something that left Kevin hanging. Either we were going to get Kevin having a long-distance relationship — boring — or having him cheating on Jason — not exactly something Kevin fans really want to see. Some folks are hoping CBS will cancel Laughlin (already shortlisted by some as a show sure to get axed) ASAP and that ABC will whisk him back to Walker World.

The only problem with this scenario is that quite a few eps are already written and in the can. No matter what ultimately happens between the two, we're stuck with Jason in Malaysia for the foreseeable future — unless ABC read my mind and had Jason sent off to the hinterlands where he encountered said crocodile, quicksand, or virus. Then we could have an episode or two of Kevin wearing all black as he mourns for his lost lover before moving on to relationship number four!
